- Either scrape out filling or deskin, and divide squash into 4 containers (I personally use 1 per serving, but it depends on your portion sizes)
- Continue to use and cook as desired. Refrigerate and use within 3 days, or freeze and use within 1 month (defrost overnight in fridge)
Put squash halves face down in a baking dish. Boil the squash in a saucepan filled about halfway with water. Bring the water back to a boil after the squash has been added. Remove the pan from the heat and drain the water. HOW TO MAKE BUTTERNUT SQUASH PUREE Start by slicing a large butternut squash in half lengthwise and scoop out and toss the seeds.
