We don't want to dry out the chicken. Remove the cooked chicken leaving as much of the onion mixture as you can in the pan. Add the dried fruit to the pan and cook uncovered over medium heat until the fruit is just tender. Add the honey and continue to cook, uncovered, until the sauce thickens.
Steps to make Chicken fruit dry:
- Marinate chicken with maida, cornflour, egg, salt, black pepper. Keep aside for 15 minute in the refrigerator & then deep fry the chicken till golden brown.
- In a kadhai add 2 tsp oil fry garlic, ginger, green chili & cashew nuts.
- Fry till golden brown & then add 1/2 cup water. When bubbles appear add red chilli powder, black pepper powder 1tsp, salt, green chilli sauce, tomato ketchup, soya sauce & sugar. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Add 1/2 cup water & add chicken. Cover & cook for 5 minute. Lastly, add spring onion leaves & serve hot.
Add the dried fruit to the pan and cook uncovered over medium heat until the fruit is just tender. Add the honey and continue to cook, uncovered, until the sauce thickens. Rub the chicken with cumin, paprika, salt and pepper. Place the garlic in the cavity. Set aside at room temperature for one hour.
