Coconut phirni is one of the most popular of recent trending meals in the world. It is enjoyed by millions every day. It’s simple, it is fast, it tastes delicious. They’re fine and they look wonderful. Coconut phirni is something which I have loved my whole life.

Coconut Phirni is made using tender coconut meat, cooked along side with diluted rice, green cardamom powder, sugar, milk, a pinch of saffron and further garnished with sliced almonds and raisins making this recipe all the more richer. Take a bowl and mix the rice powder with water until there are no lumps. Take a thick bottomed vessel or kadai and pour this mixture in it.

To begin with this recipe, we must prepare a few ingredients. You can cook coconut phirni using 7 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Coconut phirni:
  1. Take 1 litre milk
  2. Take 1-6 tbsp sugar
  3. Get 1/4 cup fresh grated coconut
  4. Get 200 ml coconut milk
  5. Get 1 cup rice soaked 2-3 hours
  6. Make ready 10-12 chopped Almonds
  7. Make ready As needed Rose petals

Heat milk and once it starts boiling, add blended coconut, jaggery and rice flour. Keep on mixing to avoid lump formation. Cook the phirni till it becomes thick. Remove from the fire and allow to cool.

Instructions to make Coconut phirni:
  1. Soak rice in water for 2-3 hours. Now crush it but it has to be chunky.
  2. In a pan boil milk, after 1 boil add crushed rice into it. Let it cook untill rice start cooking. Now add sugar into it.
  3. Now add fresh grated coconut & coconut milk/ cream into it. Let it cook untill sugar melts and rice cooked..
  4. Stir continuously to avoid lumps
  5. Cover the lid for 5 mins untill you get a nice thick consistency.
  6. Garnish it with almonds & rose patles. You can also add any dry fruits you like.

On the other side, roast the dry fruits in ghee and mix with phirni. Usually I make coconut phirni and chocolate phirni as two separate dishes. But on my daughter's birthday while making her favourite dish, an idea suddenly struck me what if I combine these two dishes. My husband and daughters liked it very much.
