  1. Prepare 1/2 cup rice
  2. Get 1 medium onion
  3. Take 1 small tomato
  4. Get 1/4 cup green peas
  5. Take 3 tsp chopped French beans
  6. Prepare 1/4 cup finely chopped carrots
  7. Take 1 small piece of bay leaf
  8. Prepare 1 inch piece of cinnamon
  9. Get 2 cloves
  10. Make ready 1/4 tsp garam masala
  11. Prepare 1/8 tsp turmeric powder
  12. Get 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  13. Take as required Oil
  14. Make ready As required Ghee
Steps to make Veg pulao:
  1. Wash rice and soak it in water for 15-20 minutes, drain and keep aside until needed.
  2. Heat ghee and oil together in a pressure cooker on low flame. Add Bay leaf, cinnamon, clove, and saute for 30 seconds.add onion and saute until it turns light brown.
  3. Add chopped tomato, ghee peas, french beans, and carrot.
  4. Stir fry them for approx 2 minutes.
  5. Add soaked rice, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  6. Stir fry them for 2 minutes.
  7. Add 1 cup water and mix well.
  8. Close the lid and cook over medium flame for 2 whistles, pulao is ready.
