Stir in the millet and coconut. Mix well to distribute the sugar mixture throughout the cereal and coconut.

- In a bowl take water and mix coconut milk powder in it. Bring it to heat and boil on high heat for 5 mins
- In a wok heat oil and add millet. Roast for 3 mins. Set aside
- Add the roasted millet to the coconut water and on high heat first for a min and on low heat for 25-30 mins cook the millet. Cover and cook
- Use a fork to stir it. Add chopped basil leaves and lime juice to it.
- Toast the shredded coconut meat on a saucepan and add to the coconut millet
- Use a fork to stir once again and plate it
Press the mixture into the prepared pan. Millet is also the main ingredient in a Vietnamese sweet snack called bánh đa kê. It contains a layer of smashed millet and mungbean topped with sliced dried coconut meat wrapped in a crunchy rice cake. It is a specialty of Hanoi.
