  1. Take 2 cups whole Moong
  2. Prepare As required Oil
  3. Get 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  4. Take 1 tsp Red chilli powder

  7. Make ready 1 pinch asafoetida

Once the oil is hot add cumin seeds (jeera) and mustard seeds (rai). Once the mustard seeds starts crackling, add dry red chili, bay leaf, ginger paste and green chili paste. Steps to make Moong Dry:
  1. Soak the moong overnight.
  2. Take a pan, add oil. Once the oil is hot add garlic paste and asafoetida.
  3. Add soaked moong, add all masala and salt. Now add 3/4 glass water. Cover it and cook it on low flame. Do not open inbetween. After 15 minutes, check. If moong is not cooked, add some water and follow the process. Usually it will cook.
  4. Mix it gently. Serve hot after garnishing with coriander leaves.
