Be sure to stir the meatball sauce occasionally so the bottom doesn't burn and the flavors develop. While the meatballs are baking in the oven, make the tomato sauce. To make the sauce, in a large, heavy saucepan over medium heat, warm the olive oil. Nothing better than Meatballs unless they are double cheese meatballs.

  1. Make the meatballs mixture: soak the panko in the milk for 30 minutes. While doing that, see steps below for making marinara.

  4. Saute onions and garlic. Add tomato paste and anchovy, cook it up. Add all other ingredients except for spinach. Let simmer for at least 1/2 hour. Add spinach at the end.
