  2. Get 3-4 manogoes

How to Make Mango Kulfi The traditional way to make kulfi involves cooking the milk until it thickens up quite a bit. Then milk solids are added to the kulfi to make it creamier and its then flavored with cardamom, nuts, saffron.

Instructions to make Mango Kulfi:
  1. Take a thick bottom pan. Add milk. Give it a boil on high flame and simmer the flame. Keep stirring.
  2. Cook it till it reduces to 750 ml. Switch off the flame and add sugar. Let it cool.
  3. Meanwhile peel off the mangoes and cut into pieces. Take a jar, add chopped mangoes and about 1/2 cup of milk. Make a puree.
  4. When the milk is cool mix the mango puree nicely. Pour it into tin. Freeze for 4-6 hrs. when it is done… cut in desired shapes and serve it cool…….

These days people also make a quick version of kulfi in which you don't cook at all. Kulfi is an Indian version of Icecream that is getting popular all over the world. Denser and creamier, it is mostly made in the shape of a cone. Add Mangoes in the season to make it a delicious variety, Mango Kulfi. Kulfi was popularly sold by the local street vendors called kulfi walas in large earthen pots.
