  4. Evenly split mixing bowl ingredients between each pie tin and lightly mix cavatappi in each pie tin with other ingredients
  5. Preheat oven to 350 degrees for 15 mins.
  6. Cover both pie tins and bake for approximately 30 mins or until a knife comes out clean when poked in middle of pies.
  7. Remove covers on pie tins and let tops brown about 5 or 10 mins
  8. Serve hot or room temperature in slices

Traditionally practice is forbidden, however - seeing that I will be eating these pies I received an exemption from the Italian Embassy this morning. I can't believe it's taken me this long to discover Nonnas! The grandma pie is delicious and will now be a staple delivery option in my home. Cut all the meats and cheeses in small cubes and put in a large bowl. Add the grated Pecorino and mix.
