In a heavy bottom pan take sugar.. Kulfi is frozen Indian dessert made from thickening milk or condensed milk. This is a simple and easy recipe made with khoya, pista and badam, flavored with saffron and cardamom.

The ingredients needed to make Mawa badam kulfi:
  1. Prepare 500 ml full fat milk
  2. Take 5-6 tablespoon sugar
  3. Get 2 tablespoon milk powder
  4. Take 2 tablespoon cornflour
  5. Get 50 gm Mawa (khoya)
  6. Get 1/4 cup malai/cream
  7. Prepare 6-7 crushed almonds

Labels: kulfi recipe, matka kulfi, badam Malai Kulfi, Mava Kulfi, Indian Icecream Slowly mix and blend the mawa with milk while stirring. Add the dry fruits and cardamom powder.

Steps to make Mawa badam kulfi:
  1. In a heavy bottom pan take sugar. Add one teaspoon water and keep on flame. Allow it to caramelize till golden brown. Stir in between. (It gives nice colour and flavour to the kulfi).
  2. Now add milk into (Keep 1/2 cup milk aside from it). By adding milk, caramelize sugar turns hard. Don't worry. Keep stirring gently. Sugar will melt after sometime.
  3. Cook for 5-8 minutes or till sugar melts. Mix milk powder and corn flour in 1/2 cup milk which we keep aside. Make lump free mixture.
  4. Add this mixture into. Stir continuously. Cook till milk thickens. Switch off the flame. Allow it to cool down at room temperature.
  5. Then add grated Mawa and malai and mix well. Blend in mixer grinder. Pour into kulfi mould. Add some crushed almonds in each mould. Close with lid and put into fridger for 6-8 hours or till set. You can put icecream stick if you have. Delicious kulfi is ready. Demould it and enjoy.

The milk thickens soon after we add mawa. Turn off the gas when you get a thick creamy consistency. After it cools add a pinch of salt, so that it doesn't melt fast when you remove from moulds to eat. Now pour in kulfi moulds or kullads. Creamy Malai Kufi is a delicious summer treat!
