Overnight oats are such a great breakfast option during summer. It is cold and meal prepped in your refrigerator. Kulfi is an Indian version of ice cream that is enjoyed all summer long and is perfect to beat the tropical heat (check out this Mango Kulfi or Chocolate Kulfi).

Oats Kulfi is one of the most popular of current trending meals in the world. It’s appreciated by millions daily. It is simple, it is quick, it tastes delicious. They are fine and they look fantastic. Oats Kulfi is something which I have loved my entire life.

To begin with this particular recipe, we have to first prepare a few components. You can have oats kulfi using 6 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make Oats Kulfi:
  1. Get 2 tbsp oats and muselli mix
  2. Get 500 ml pre- boiled milk
  3. Prepare 2 tbsp almonds, chopped
  4. Prepare Some cashews and raisins, chopped
  5. Take 12-14 saffron strands dissolved in milk
  6. Prepare 2 tsp sugar

Add jaggery as per taste but do not overdo it. If you don't have kulfi moulds you can pour it in an airtight box and serve using a scooper. Kulfi, an Indian cashew almond oats ice cream, so easy and delicious. The perfect way to cool down in the summer.

Instructions to make Oats Kulfi:
  1. In a thick bottomed pan, take the milk and heat on low flame for 10 minutes. - - When the milk thickens, add saffron strands, dissolved in milk.
  2. Stir and add oats mix first and cook for 3 minutes till it soaks the milk and dissolved. - - Then add chopped almonds, cashews and raisins, also sugar.
  3. Mix well and stir till you get thickened milk mixture (1 minute approx) - - Cool and arrange in kulfi moulds. Garnish with tuty-fruity.
  4. Keep in freezer for 2 hours in minimum. De-mold and serve. - Thanks - - P.S. Although thought to use vanilla extract / cardamom powder as flavouring. But dropped the idea as the flavour of saffron is more inviting.

Add the condensed milk, oats and walnuts. Mix well and keep aside to cool. Once cooled, pour the mixture into kulfi moulds and freeze overnight or till set. Take oats, cardamom and half the quantity of nuts in a mixer and powder them. The simple fact of using oats instead of heavy cream has slashed the fat, calories and sugar to less than half of a regular Kulfi!!
