- Get 1 onion
- Prepare 1 inch ginger
- Get 5-6 cloves garlic
- Prepare 2 cardamom
- Take 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- Take 1/2 tsp coriander seeds
- Get 1 red chilli
- Get 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Prepare 2 cloves
- Take 1 bay leaf
Steps to make Nadia Bara torkari:
- First of all prepare the masala paste by grinding all the ingredients and keep them aside.
- In bowl mix all the ingredients for making coconut vada / nadia Bara and make small balls of it.
- Heat a Kadai with oil and deep fry the coconut ball in medium flame till they become golden brown in colour and keep them aside.
- Cut the boiled potatoes into cube sizes and fry them in oil.
- Heat a Kadai and put oil in it. Add the sugar and when they caramelise then add cumin seeds. When they crackle then add the chopped onion in it and stir it.
- When they become transluscent then add the masala paste along with turmeric, chilli powder and salt in it. Then add chopped tomatoes in it.
- Cook it till the tomatoes become slender and the masala release oil from it.
- Then add the potatoes and mix it well and cook it for 5 minutes in low flame and then add the water in it.
- Allow the water to boil for sometime and then add the nadia bara / coconut vadas in it.
- Again allow it to boil for 1-2 minutes and switch off the flame.
- Now your nadia bora torkari is ready. Serve hot with chapatti or Paratha by garnishing with some chopped coriander leaves.
