Combine gently then add the eggs. Meanwhile chop the onions and garlic. Once the TVP chunks are rehydrated, squeeze out the excess water from them. Soya mince, often called soy mince, soy crumbles or soy ground beef, is a product made out of textured vegetable protein.

- Start the tomato sauce by finely chopping the onion and garlic and frying in oil until soft.

- Time for the meatballs! Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and mix vigorously with your hands until you get a stuffing like consistency.
- Roll into balls of approximately 25g and shallow fry until golden brown then set aside to drain. Most likely you’ll need to do this in batches so you can start frying the first batch whilst shaping the second.
- Add the balls to an oven dish and cover with the tomato sauce. Cook in an preheated oven at 200°C for 15 minutes.
